There are two types of conference bursary offered by the Society:
Amy Wygant Conference Bursaries
The Amy Wygant Bursaries are named in memory of our late colleague and Editor of the Society’s Journal. The Amy Wygant Conference Bursaries are intended to assist postgraduate students and those without institutional funding with the expenses of attending the Society’s annual conference. Applicants need not be members of the Society, although joining the Society is a condition of a Conference Bursary award. Five Conference Bursaries are offered, which waive the conference registration fee and reimburse standard-class travel expenses of up to £300. For non-residential conference bursary recipients, accommodation expenses will in addition be reimbursed up to the cost of the conference accommodation. Applications for the Conference Bursaries should include details of the applicant’s research.

Carers’ Bursaries
These awards are intended to assist with the care arrangement expenses of carers who attend the Society’s annual conference. Applicants need not be members of the Society, although joining the Society is a condition of a Carers’ Bursary award. Five Carers’ Bursaries are offered of £300. More details on this new award will be announced at a later date.
